- COVID Restrictions at RAE Offices:
- As per Christo’s email, RAE has returned to mandatory masking and physical distancing while in common areas of offices. This is to align with current public guidelines (as indicated in the COVID section)

- If you have not already done so, please review the attached Company Safety Meeting and Employee training presentation and indicate that you have done so by replying to the email.
- Even if you miss the deadline for meeting attendance, you are still required to review the Employee Safety Training presentation(s) and indicate you have done so.

COVID-19

- COVID-19 transmission is increasing and hospital admissions are rising, largely in unvaccinated Albertans. Alberta is taking temporary measured steps to reduce transmission and prevent the health care system from being overwhelmed. These temporary measures come into effect September 4 at 8 am.
- Vaccines: Vaccines are our best defense to beat COVID-19. All eligible Albertans are encouraged to get vaccinated. A one-time incentive of $100 is now available for all Albertans 18+ who receive a first or second dose between September 3 and October 14.
- All Albertans ages 12 and older are now eligible to receive their vaccine shot. Visit https://www.alberta.ca/covid19-vaccine.aspx to book your appointment or visit a link below to book/walk-in at a pharmacy or Alberta Health Services (AHS) facility
- Masking: Mandatory restriction – effective Sept. 4 at 8 am
- Masks are mandatory in all indoor public spaces and workplaces.
- Employees must mask in all indoor work settings, except in work stations.
- Schools are not required to implement masking, but school boards will continue to set COVID-19 management policies as they deem appropriate.

- Working from home: Recommended measure – Effective Sept. 4 at 8 am
- Employers are recommended to continue work-from-home measures where possible, and to pause or revert plans to have staff return to work.
- If employees are working on location, they must mask in all indoor settings except work stations.
- Social gatherings: Recommended measure – Effective Sept. 4 at 8 am
- Albertans are encouraged to limit in-person contacts.
- Unvaccinated Albertans are strongly recommended to limit indoor social gatherings to close contacts of only 2 cohort families up to a maximum of 10 people.
- Isolation and quarantine requirements:

- Isolation is still legally required for people who have COVID-19 symptoms or tested positive.
- Quarantine is no longer legally required for close contacts positive cases, unless directed to do so by local public health officials.
- International travellers must still follow federal travel requirements.
- Isolation hotels and quarantine supports are no longer available.
- Changes currently scheduled for September 27
- The 10-day isolation period following a positive test result will no longer be mandatory, but will be strongly recommended.

ACSA
- In light of the ongoing findings of remains of residential school children, ACSA would like to extend an offer to educate people regarding residential schools and their lasting impacts on Indigenous communities and Peoples. There is a free course offered through the University of Alberta available to all who are interested in educating themselves.
- ACSA is asking for feedback on their ACSA Member and Stakeholder survey. It should take approximately 10 minutes to complete and you will have a chance to win a $200 pre-paid visa
Energy Safety Canada (ESC)
- ESC has issued revised COVID protocols as well as a list of upcoming Webinars.

- Safety Alert: A coil tubing crew was running a fibre optic string into a production well. While placing the coil tubing into the well, the blowout preventor (BOP) separated from the wellhead. This resulted in damage to the coil tubing and loss of well control protection.
