• Company Safety Meeting Presentation:   due Fri 10 February 2023
  • If you have not already done so by the deadline, please review the attached Company Safety Meeting on SiteDocs to indicate you have reviewed it. If the deadline has passed – you missed it.

• January H&S Bulletin: Answer due by 8am Friday 24 February 2023
  • See attached: February 2023 Health and Safety Bulletin
• Health and Safety Committee: Next Meeting: Thursday 23 February 2023 at 1pm
  • If you can’t join the HSC meetings,  you can still participate by providing feedback, questions, or concerns to hsc@raeengineering.ca. Please submit feedback prior to the next meeting so it can be brought forward.
  • The HSC meets the last Thursday of each month at 1pm via Teams
  • HSC Meeting Minutes can be found in the Teams Channel and SiteDocs
• Hazard Reporting: Due by end of each month
  • Once a month, submit at least 1 hazard ID, incident, accident, or near miss to hazardreporting@raeengineering.ca to demonstrate your commitment to thinking about safety
  • Non-work-related incidents count as well, just indicate that it was not work-related in the subject.
• Safety Rewards Program: Where your commitment to RAE’s Safety Culture is rewarded!
  • November PRC winners:

• Peer Recognitions: Due by Company Safety Meeting each month
• 2023 HSE Manual Knowledge Check: testmoz.com/12407464 Due: Tues 28 Feb 2023
  • All RAE Employees are expected to successfully complete the 2023 HSE Manual Knowledge Check by Tues 28 Feb 2023.
  • RAE Contractors will be expected to complete the 2023 Knowledge Check after contract negotiations for the 2023 year
• Client Orientations:
  • With a new year, many clients are updating their orientations. A master list of client orientations made known to RAE Safety are compiled in Acumatica Doc RAE000020-Client Site Requirements and Orientations Tracker which is updated as orientations are made known.

Energy Safety Canada (ESC)

• See Energy Safety Canada Online for details on the following:
  • Registration for the Energy Safety Conference (May 1-4 at Fairmont Banff Springs) is open
  • ESC has extended their customer service hours; they are now open 7:30am-4:30pm
  • A reminder that changes to the Alberta OHS Code come into effect March 31
  • Registration is open for a FREE virtual Health and Safety Summit coming up on April 12 and 13 from National Occupational Research Agenda (NORA) and Oil and Gas Extraction (OGE) Sector Council

Mental Health Commission of Canada (MHCC)

• MHCC has issued their latest issue The Catalyst | Le Vecteur which features:
  • Lived Experience piece: Rallying while Black: After the murder of George Floyd, and further acts of anti-Black racism and discrimination, many African, Caribbean, and Black people came forward — online, in mass media, and in the streets — to advocate for justice and change. Yet, for some, carrying the torch gets heavy as movements evolve and injustices continue. Finding the activism that’s right for where you’re at.
