  • Company Safety Meeting Presentation:   deadline: second Friday of each month for the previous month (13 Oct 2023)
    • If you have not already done so by the deadline, please review the attached Company Safety Meeting on SiteDocs to indicate you have reviewed it. If the deadline has passed – you missed it but are still expected to review and sign-off the presentation in SiteDocs.

  • H&S Bulletin: Answer due by 8am last Friday of the month (27 Oct 2023)
  • Health and Safety Committee: Next Meeting: Thurs before last Fri of the month (26 Oct 2023)
    • If you can’t join the HSC meetings,  you can still participate by providing feedback, questions, or concerns to hsc@raeengineering.ca. Please submit feedback prior to the next meeting so it can be brought forward.
    • The HSC meets the last Thursday of each month at 1pm via Teams

Energy Safety Canada (ESC)

  • Per email: New Course | Wood Buffalo Wildlife Intermediate
    • Energy Safety Canada is excited to announce the launch of their latest online course: Wood Buffalo Wildlife Intermediate. Course highlights:
      • Explore the dynamics of human-wildlife interactions.
      • Understand your role in wildlife habitat preservation.
      • Learn to deploy deterrents safely and effectively.
    • After successfully completing the Wood Buffalo Wildlife Intermediate exam, you will receive a Certificate of Completion valid for 3 years.
    • Please note: Only students who have completed Wood Buffalo Wildlife Awareness may enroll.
  • Per email: Now Retired | IRP 6: Critical Sour Underbalanced Drilling
    • As of October 2023, IRP 6 no longer reflects current best practices and is now ‘retired’. This IRP will not be updated or maintained but will remain available for historical reference.
    • If you have any feedback or comments on the retiring of this IRP, please email Safety@EnergySafetyCanada.com. You will receive a follow-up communication from Energy Safety Canada on behalf of the DACC.
    • The Drilling and Completions Committee (DACC) is responsible for the development of technical Industry Recommended Practices (IRPs) for the upstream oil and gas industry. IRPs apply to the drilling, completions and servicing of wells. The DACC’s primary focus is developing IRPs to address safety, environmental performance, cost efficiencies, technical optimization and productivity.
