Please review the applicable HSE Updates.

• Company Safety Meeting Presentation:   deadline: second Friday of each month for the previous month
  • If you have not already done so by the deadline, please review the attached Company Safety Meeting on SiteDocs to indicate you have reviewed it. If the deadline has passed – you missed it but are still expected to review and sign-off the presentation in SiteDocs.
• H&S Bulletin: Answer due by 8am last Friday of the month (23 Feb 2024)

• Health and Safety Committee: Next Meeting: Thurs before last Fri of the month (22 Feb 2024)
  • If you can’t join the HSC meetings,  you can still participate by providing feedback, questions, or concerns to hsc@raeengineering.ca. Please submit feedback prior to the next meeting so it can be brought forward.
  • The HSC meets the last Thursday of each month at 1pm via Teams
  • Previous HSC Meeting Minutes can be found in the Teams Channel and SiteDocs
• Safety Rewards Program: Where your commitment to RAE’s Safety Culture is rewarded!
  • December 2023 PRC winners: Submit more cards! Be specific in how your coworkers are contributing to safety!

  • Performance reviews are coming up. Please ensure your certifications are in place and valid.
  • If you are a Supervisor, arrange time with your staff to perform Annual Assigned Equipment Checklists

Energy Safety Canada ESC

• As indicated via email, Discover the Power of HOP: Register for our In-Person Seminar Today!, ESC is hosting a seminar in Fort McMurray on Human and Organizational Performance (HOP)
  • Safety Evolution Seminar: Human and Organizational Performance
  • Type of session: One-day, in-person seminar
  • Who should attend: Leaders, frontline supervisors and safety representatives who are new to or looking to learn more about HOP.
  • Fee: $100
  • Description: Learn about HOP fundamentals, tools and techniques that can help you create a safer workplace. Group exercises and discussions will follow each topic presentation so you can ask questions, connect with peers who share your passion for safety and begin implementing your own safety evolution.
  • Location: Quality Hotel and Conference Centre
  • Date: March 21, 2024 | 8:00 am – 4:00 pm (MT)
  • Light breakfast and lunch provided.
  • Registration deadline is March 15, 2024.

OHS

• The OHS eNews – February 2024 special edition (via email) includes the opportunity to have your say on the OHS Code
  • The public engagement for proposed changes to the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Code is now open. Engagement is focused on the following parts:
    • Part 27 – Violence and harassment
    • Part 33 – Explosives
    • Part 37 – Oil and gas wells
  • We encourage all Albertans to provide input on proposed changes by completing the online survey. The survey will close on March 19, 2024. We recommend registering for our engagement platform link so you can save your progress on your responses and receive a copy of your submission.
