• Company Safety Meeting Presentation:   deadline: two weeks following the Company Safety Meeting
  • It is mandatory to review the Company Safety Meeting on SiteDocs and sign-off that you have done so. If the deadline has passed – you missed it but are still expected to review and sign-off the presentation in SiteDocs.
• H&S Bulletin: Answer due by 8am last Friday of the month
  • Attached: July 2026 Health and Safety Bulletin
• Health and Safety Committee: Next Meeting: usually Thurs before last Fri of the month
  • If you can’t join the HSC meetings,  you can still participate by providing feedback, questions, or concerns to hsc@raeengineering.ca. Please submit feedback prior to the next meeting so it can be brought forward.
  • The HSC meets the last Thursday of each month at 1pm via Teams
  • Previous HSC Meeting Minutes can be found in the Teams Channel and on SiteDocs
• Safety Rewards Program:  Where your commitment to RAE’s Safety Culture is rewarded!
  • Submit more cards! Be specific in how your coworkers contribute to safety! The latest PRC winners are:

  • Highlights of OHS eNews – July 2026 are indicated below:
    • New: Harmful substances in the workplace

    • Canadian Injury Prevention Day: July 6. For more information on how to help prevent injuries at work, please visit ohs-pubstore.labour.alberta.ca/.
    • Fraudulent first aid certificates: Alberta OHS has recently identified an increase in instances of fraudulent or invalid first aid certificates. Providing workplace first aid that meets Alberta OHS requirements is a legal responsibility and designated first aiders must be trained through an Alberta OHS approved workplace first aid training agency.
      • Employers are encouraged to review the OHS training scams and high-pressure sales tactics bulletin to help identify misleading or fraudulent training offers and to ensure workers’ certifications are valid and meet Alberta OHS requirements.

    • New CCOHS video supports young worker safety awareness: The Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS) has interesting tips and facts, as well as a new fun video for pop-up facts you should know — check out Safety Starts at Home.
    • Working in extreme heat: Do you know the signs of heat stress? Do you know how to prevent heat stress while working? For answers to these questions and to learn more, see the Working in extreme heat infographic, available on the OHS Resource Portal. Want to test your knowledge?     • Proactive inspection initiatives and programs: As part of Alberta OHS’ compliance strategy, Alberta OHS recently launched new proactive inspection initiatives and programs in the manufacturing, mobile community services, liquor and convenience stores, and oil and gas sectors.     • Health and safety committees and representatives: If your organization is big enough to need an HSC or representative, it’s important to know the applicable legal requirements.
