  • Provide optimum uninterrupted production periods
  • Clearly Identify problem areas
  • Incorporate operational and production information into the evaluation of inspection results
  • Incorporate plant and pipeline corrosion management into the overall inspection program
  • Identify the root cause of failures and use this information to properly assess the risks associated
  • Create an information loop which provides effective inspection and maintenance scheduling
  • Meet the API 579 fitness for service criteria

Owner Inspection Programs (OIPs)

RAE Engineering and Inspection Ltd. is currently designated as Chief Inspector for a number of clients who have ABSA registered OIP/PEIM  programs in place and we are assisting other clients who are in various stages of OIP development. We also act as designated Chief Inspector for many smaller oil and gas clients who are not yet required to have a registered program with ABSA but still require an integrity assessment program. As designated Chief Inspector, we assume full responsibility for the management of the client’s pressure equipment safety program including inspection scheduling and planning, visual and NDE examination, inspection reporting and data management.
