RAE Engineering and Inspection Ltd. employs CGSB certified NDE technicians including UT I and II, MT II and PT II.
Our technicians are especially qualified to do the more technically demanding in-service monitoring of corrosion and material degradation. Assessing in-service cracks and pitting requires additional training and experience and a good understanding of surface preparation requirements is especially useful towards proper defect identification and interpretation.
RAE Engineering NDE technicians typically accompany our API 510 Inspectors as part of a comprehensive team - with all of the tools, equipment and experience - to ensure your integrity needs are met.
Some of the services we provide are:
Vessel and piping External TML identification and Monitoring - The combination of an API or National Board inspector and a CGSB UTI or II inspector provides an effective and efficient assessment team. While the API inspector performs the visual equipment inspection, he identifies the TML points for the UT technician.
Vessel Internal Inspections - On items such as fire-tubes, where visual, magnetic particle and ultrasonic techniques all come together.
Repair Monitoring and Assessment - One of our experienced teams of an API inspector and an NDE technician will provide the necessary knowledge of code requirements for repairs and the necessary NDE assessment techniques.
Level III consulting services
Through the 24/7 accessible RAE Engineering data base (REMS), we can manage our clients’ TML points, drawings and photos and provide all the requirements for life assessments.
